M. Munir Chaudhri

Managing partner

Is the Senior Partner of Chaudhri & Associates with over Fifty (50) years of experience in the legal field. He is a Barrister Member of Lincolns Inn and attended French Jurisprudence Course in Kings College, London.  He started his practice in 1970, founder of the firm.  He also serves as a member of the Board of Director of various institutions including Mac’s Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Daalo Airlines and Gulf Industries Ltd.  He was appointed the Honorary Consul of the Union of Comoros in the year 1991. He was also the Permanent Representative of the Union of Comoros to the United Nations Environmental Project and now Honorary Consul of Niger. Munir has diverse knowledge across all Legal fields due to his over 50 years of experience in the Industry but specializes in Family Law, Aviation Law, Conveyancing & Commercial Corporate Law.

Ferhan Chaudhri

Partner

Ferhan joined the Law Firm in 1994.  He is a graduate of the University of Warwick where he attained his LLB (Hons).  He is a Barrister Member of Lincolns Inn and the holder of a post-graduate diploma from the Kenya School of Law.   He has served as the Special Representative for Investments to the President of the Union of Comoros from the year 1997 to 2000 and has served as a Director in numerous institutions including Banks and Industrial sector initiatives.

Ferhan’s practice covers a breadth of areas in general commercial practice including International Trade, Insurance, Shipping and Commercial Corporate Law.  Further practice areas include Aviation Law, Conveyancing, Immigration and Intellectual Property.

Ferhan has acted as Legal Advisor and Consultant to a diverse range of organisations ranging from Multinational Corporations, Public and Private Companies in all three, primary, secondary and tertiary sectors of Industry to Sovereign Governments and Diplomatic Missions accredited to Kenya.

Aside from private practice Ferhan has also served on consultative councils including on matters pertaining to the adoption of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 and its implementation, and has also served on the task force assigned to advise on matters materials to the development and implementation of legal, policy and licensing frameworks for the Mining Industry, and further on the formation of the Tourism Protection Service to name but a few.

Rajab Sumba

He is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with more than Ten (10) years’ experience and a member of the Law Society of Kenya. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) Degree from the University of South Africa and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. He joined the firm in the year 2009 and spearheads the Litigation Department of the Firm. Rajab’s main areas of specialization are Commercial and Aviation law. He also has extensive experience in handling litigation matters, commercial transactions, anti-corruption matters, arbitration and mediation matters, tax law matters, client legal consultancies, labor law disputes, intellectual property transactions, and legal research. In that regard, he has successfully represented public and private companies, that is to say, State corporations, County governments, Banking Institutions, individual clients, and insurance companies at the Superior Courts within the Republic of Kenya. He continues to provide en profondeur legal and professional knowledge to the civil litigation in the office. He is currently undertaking various cases touching on corporate and commercial law.

Annette M. Wasike

An Advocate of the High Court admitted to the Bar in the year 2017.  She holds a Bachelors’ Degree in Law, Second Class Honours (Upper Division) from Kenyatta University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law.  Annette is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Law from the University of Nairobi in Public Finance and Financial Services. Annette’s deputises Rajab in the litigation department and though she has handled a number of diverse files her areas of bias are Employment Law, Commercial and Civil Law, Environment and Land matters, Family Law including knowledge of Islamic Law due to her numerous appearances before the Kadhi’s Court. Annette has represented diverse clients in her years with us and has even appeared before the Court of Appeal.

Derrick Bruno M.

An Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a Member of the Law Society of Kenya. He Graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB.) Degree from the University of Nairobi. He Joined the Firm in the Year 2015. Derrick’s thematic areas of practice are General Litigation which include but not limited to Conveyancing and Real Estate Transactions, Environment and Land matters, Probate and Administration, Commercial Law & Practice, Tax Regulatory & Legal Advice, Immigration Law and Practice among others.

He has commendable skills in Legal Research, Communication, Interpersonal skills and presentation. He advices on a broad range of Local and International Corporate Finance, Real Estate and Commercial Transactions based on Technological approach and innovation.
